Yesterday, I mentioned that Terri Goldich won her election by 30 votes, but what I forgot to tell you was her wonderful story about a prayer shawl.  You see, she had a friend who died a few months ago, but before she died, Terri took her a prayer shawl from our church and she had this prayer shawl around her when she died.  For Terri, one of the messages here is that we as members of our church often help people whom we do not know and will never meet.  The ladies who knit the prayer shawls and prayed over them will often never know the persons to whom they brought comfort.  These random acts of kindness are what make up the Kingdom of God.
