Bruce Rieder didn’t make it out on Sunday morning to his mission in New Orleans, because of the snow storm, but he did make it out on Tuesday to work on Katrina houses.
Terri Goldich won her election to the schoolboard by 30 votes!
The choir has begun to practice its Christmas music from a cantata called “The Mystery and the Majesty.” One intriguing anthem refers to the birth of Jesus as “The Beautiful Impossible,” and has this interesting analogy, “Into our shadows, a star reaches out, to the mangers of our empty hearts.” I like that picture of where Christ will be born….in the “mangers of our empty hearts.”
