Stan’s Corner, Saturday, July 23

Yesterday, I was coming home from Stop and Shop (the Old Shaws) down Franklin St. when I passed by Janet Baldwin’s home.  You see, Janet is a shut-in now even though only several years ago, she was coming every Sunday with her sister.  I have passed by many times without stopping, but this time I stopped, and had a delightful visit.  One of the interesting things that she and her husband did in their younger years was to take care of foster children besides their own three children.  Now, we are talking about 50 foster children and one adopted child.  It takes a special couple to do that!
