There is a gospel hymn in our hymnal called “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” whose title comes from a small book in the Bible call Lamentations.  The context of that sentence is from Lamentations 3:22-23:  “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.”  That’s it.  That’s all there is—a promise of the faithfulness of God!
