A quotation I saw yesterday at the Florence Griswold Museum about Miss Griswold who ran a boarding house for artists at the turn of the century:  “Already I could see she was a born hostess, with that lovely air and remarkable gift of making her guests feel it was their home, and she was visiting them.”
